some of you know i had my 10 billionth BTX injection the other week in my right arm and hand to help calm and relax the selected muscles. just thought i'd update you on how it feels and whatnot...
to a degree, it did its job. my whole arm and hand now feel a heck of alot more comfortable, a massive relief i must say. i cant really notice a difference on my fingers, but i'm sure its there. now my thumb, the second joint has decided to go bazerk and totally contract, when before it really was doing the opposite. i'll get on to more of that latter. as for my wrist, thats also decided to do the opposite, instead of contracting its now doing the opposite. as a result of my thumb and my wrist, for the time being i really struggle to play guitar. strangley, i can just doodle around on it unplugged though. overall, i think the operation has opened a door for me, i just have to work my $@! off to get there. but for now i'm just trying to keep it relaxed. thats probably the most important thing to do anyway until my OT appoitment next week.
anyway this is kinda good, cause now i can focus on my 2D art more.

so yeah, thats whats been happening in my boring life

I admire your attitude and your courage, Riley. I know people five times your age that aren't as mature as you are regarding their aches, pains and boo-boos.

I hope and pray that this latest procedure will give you some relief...if it's dependent upon how hard you work, I know it will be successful.

In the words of John Wayne, "Don't let the b@$tards get you down..."

I'm glad that the procedure worked out well for you Riley and that you're prepared to work hard to get your playing back on track-I basically have the same road ahead of me too. Anyway the OTs should set you up with some good excericise regimins that will help with your recovery and if they're any bit as good as the OT from Canberra who I worked with for years-you'll be in good hands for sure.Lots of Luck and keep up the good work.
