When I woke up this morning I was wondering why my hands were paining more than usual, when I looked outside it soon became clearly apparent-the ground was covered with about 4" of snow. When the barometer goes bottom up it wreaks havoc on the old mitts and needless to say playing the guitar is out of the question. This was the warmest April we ever had on record-how ironic that it ends with a snowfall. There is hardly any snow left around now as the sun came out and it's now 9C in the shade but about 15C in the full sun.
Tomorrow is the first day of May and that means that our first holiday that kicks off the "summer season"-The 24th of May Weekend-is only about 3 weeks away. The Two-Four Weekend- as it has become known because of the huge beer consumption that goes on-usually is accompanied by cold wet weather all weekend except for Monday when the weekend is over, the sun is usually out splitting the rocks.A lot of 2-4 mornings I crawled out of the tent into a snow drift-that's not very conducive to camping.
Anyway hopefully we'll get some good weather between now and labour day.lol.

You know guitslinger, when I was a kid and heard the oldtimers saying things like,"It's fixing to rain,I can feel it in my bones!"....one thing we Southerners say is "fixing to",for "going to" ...anyway I thought there's nothing to that, they can't tell...I was wrong!...it's been studied and by survey of people dealing with chronic pain that the low pressure of the weather, when the barometer is dropping... the pain level increases, due to more pressure on the body and the joints.
I sure can feel it now that I'm an oldtimer!

When the weather is really bad here the weather channel always puts up a video of Newfoundland, then I feel better. :)

Absolutely feel the different weather systems. It's like the places where you have arthritis or inflammation stiffen up. I recently flew to Florida and was concerned about the plane ride due to any pressure change. Lucky enough, I did ok.

Yo, guitslinger!

A happy belated 2/4 weekend to ya!

Good luck with the weather!

Have you tried fashioning hand covers (no palm, openings exposing the bottoms of the fingers.)

When it's cold here, I git it too, but just turn on the heat, it's not that cold here.
-----------------------------

I can fell the weather in my knees, back, and shoulder too when a cold front moves in, worse with rain, sometimes a week in advance!

Living in California, I've become earthquake sensitive...there's this feeling and a high pitched noise that proceeds an earthquake. If there's just the feeling and no high pitched noise, it's a minor quake. If it's a big un...I can feel it big and hear it strong well before it hits, sometimes days! The first time it happened was during the Whittier Quake, then the Northridge Quake, ...

It's all good -- it's an exciting time to be alive!

We already have the technology to do this.

JPL predicted the Northridge Quake with satellite, infrared topology analysis sensors! The earth heats up before a quake. When the hard rock grinds and breaks...it yields a very high pitched sound, tectonic microphonics -- no magic involved, pure science.

Since I became earthquake sensitive...I've actually heard that high pitch sound before large earthquakes around the planet -- feckin' scary at first. "Son, there's going to be an earthquake somewhere." Son, ..."how do you do that???"

whatup moochy!
