My band 'octafish' is recording our 2nd album. Due to travel issues I've been forced to play all the parts for the recordings. I've been working on these for the last month or so, which for me is a terribly long time, so....I've decided to release these songs as I finish them. We're a post-rock kind of band, not really in that genre but we're slow, repetitive, etc...This is the first time i really focused on playing more melodically and not just playing to fill up space (there are still no hooks or melodies to sing along to or anything).

I've finished 3 songs, one more coming soon, another one far away because i need to find a violin player...enough talking..check it out, i'd love to know what you think. they are up for free downloads until cd's get pressed...

just finished the last song...i really like the ending.

i had just gotten a Stratocaster 12 string before recording this song ("for all,for all...") , i use it all over the place. I played the end solo on the 12 string. I love this guitar.

Ok, first, great musicianship, and recording, but I feel that the tracks don't live up to their full potential.

You created great melodies, but no leads/voice, maybe this what you want.

I write synth-prog tracks for my own enjoyment, and love this kind of music.

first, thanks for the compliments. and i know what you mean about the lack of leads...my original idea for this EP was to include some string players but i was unable to find any. I also wanted to get away from my tendency to solo over everything, but there is one more song we're (i'm) working on so maybe i'll go back and see what i can add to the rest.
