I'm trying to convert our enclosed porch into a music room, but that'l take at least $10,000. And that was an estimate from a family member who is a licensed contractor. It needs a ton of work, considering it's 60 y/o.

Buxom, I care little about the musical tastes of a 16 y/o American dude, I just react to what I read mostly for entertainment.

I don't think you need any fancy equipment at this stage. Your samples are way too trebly IMO. Try to adjust the tone knobs or use the fat strings more.

Try the 'UK Subs' i used to like them back in a bygone era. Killing Joke too. Punk poet Patrik Fitzgerald was great too, i used to have his 'Grubby Stories' album

I didn't hear too much treble or too much distortion when I listened back through my hifi. I thought it sounded great. Except that you're getting a little bit of input clipping from having a volume control up too high.

Before you go spending mucho spondoolicks on recording gear ask yourself how far you want to go with it.
Personally I hate recording. I roll up at a studio, plug in, say to the engineer "get me a sound". Do everything in one take. Put my guitar away and go home.
I despise it.
At home I use a zoom H2 and audacity to record ideas and sounds. Record straight onto the zoom edit with Audacity. You get the room but it's good enough for getting ideas down.

I'll record you something later mate.
And for what it's worth, I think the Clash were the best thing out of England, ever.

My tone is at 3, and I only use the fat strings. The way I achieve that thin sound is magic,.

And most of the gear I have was discounted or HMD. As long as I'm not blowing thousands, I'm ok.

I also use the squeeliest, most dead, HB I have. And my amp settings are Supersat at 15, Bottom at -15, Edge at 15, and Reverb at 1. I guess I do have treble, but I like it.

It's so hard for me to play clean when everything I envision is something trebly. For at least 5 or so hours a school day, it's all I listen to. (Not counting the occasional PM Dawn track )

I'll have to do more settings, but I tried that and it just didn't have the same pleasure in the sound. Most I did was 0, and that was an overload.
