As many of you know, I was selling off most of my gear to fund my dream car, an older Porsche. Some of you have seen Veronica in person at Aruba Beach Cafe, and she continues to give me much pleasure. The gear sale is just about complete, with just my CIJ Tele, my 1971 50 watt Marshall small box Tremolo, Mojo cab with Celestion Gold and Scumbag speakers, and the CAE MC404 wah still for sale.
I've been pleased as all the other gear sold has paid for 3/4 of the car.
I continue to teach those pesky 6th graders (especially my last period of the day...they won't shut up!) and unfortunately, the politics of teaching is getting worse by the month, especially here in Florida, and it takes the joy out of teaching; but there is plenty of happy things in my life also.
Almost 16 months ago, I found the woman that makes me happier than any other woman and we continue to laugh a lot, something I did very little of in my previous marriage of 22 years.
My son Michael also continues to bring me a lot of joy and continues to amaze me with his skills; he is an advertising major at Temple University (a senior), working at DEC, Temple's own agency. He is with the group working on a campaign for the US State Department, and best of all, he landed a paid summer internship at Satchi & Satchi's New York office; he was one of 400 applicants; as you can tell, I'm a proud father.

Some recent photos, taken in Ft. Lauderdale and at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Great car! If I had the money, I'd pop on this 60s Impala for sale in my area. I don't, of course. Moped for life!

Welcome back to the Forum Serge, although I 've been keeping track with your activities on FB I'm sure that other forumites were wondering how things have been going for you. Of course with a beautiful lady,a classic car and a son that any man would be proud to have things couldn't be better for you, except perhaps to have your guitar collection built up again... lol.

Not too long! A bit of Meguiars Quik Detailer and it was gone.
I haven't played in a long time; my fingers seem to not be cooperating. Maybe a bit of arthritis or just old age? Both hands have joints that are a bit swollen and give me some pain. I intend to keep one guitar and one amp, however. The 71 Super Lead already has Michael's name on it. When he gets his own place, I'll shlep it up to him. The Ron Kirn is staying here with me.

It is just about that time to start counting down to the last day of school; 30 school days left! I'm hoping (again) to change out of 6th grade and get into 8th grade next year. I need the change as I'm tired and bored of teaching Ancient World History...I NEED American History, or even 7th grade Civics. 7th has been Geography; starting next year it'll be Civics. I guess the state of FloriDUH figures kids don't need to know where anything is!
Have a good day.
