today i had yet another BTX injection in my right limbs. i had it in my thumb, bicep, wrist, fingers and toes. i probably wont be able to play for a while, but i'm prepared for that. hopefully it'll make my arm/hand and foot alot more comfortable in a couple of days. for now the doctors said just take it easy on my right hand.
while they were injecting it, me and this old nurse dude had a good discussion about guitars, old blues artist (son house, robert johnson) and which brand is better, fender or gretcsh (i was obviously on fender's side  ). t'was probably the only time i was interested in getting 10 needles shuved into my nerves

Cool that you made the best of a rough situation Riley. Sending Chicago mojo your way. 8)

BTX = Botox? Botox injections are no fun are they?

I had a couple in my eye brow when some of my facial muscles became paralysed..

I entirely sympathise!

Hi Riley,I know what you're going through,I spent a couple of years getting botox injections in my back every 6-8 weeks-not a lot of fun-luclily you had someone there to take your mind off it with a topic that was of interest to you.I really hope that it works out well for you,I'm pullin' for you.

I used to get injections of a powerful muscle relaxant and a local anesthetic very deep in the main muscles of my back, about 6 or 7 on each side and the anesthesiologist used to go in until she almost hit the bones and up to over 1" deep where there was no bone. That was the absolute worse pain that I ever felt-it just goes beyond description and that was after having almost 200 mg. of morphine.

yes it is botox, a different type to the one that 'celebrities' use though. i've been going to get it every couple of months since 09. its painfull, mentally and physically but its just so worth it for the uncomfort to be reduced.
