I got this notice on my FB site yesterday: First leave 1/4" of Mountain Dew in the bottom of the bottle, then add 3 capfulls of hydrogen peroxide and finally a tiny bit of baking soda (they didn't say the exact amount)then you shake it all up and it glows-even when you pour it out.

According to wiki, the ad was a hoax. If Mountain Dew were to glow it might be caused by the phosphoric Acid content. There are at least two places on earth where the sea water, because of some reaction with a high phosphorus content, will actually give off a glow when agitated by a ships propeller. one is in the south pacific, the other is in parts of Puget Sound. I have personally observed the phenomenon at night. And no, to my knowledge Puget Sound is not made of Mountain Dew. 8)

I'm here, unfortunately I hadn't tried it ,a friend of mine put it up on my Facebook Profile and I took her word for it as she usually puts up pretty credible stuff.I guess I'll have to stop by her house and do her front door with phosphorescent paint.

BTW: I`m glowing red now, from embarassment...lol.
