Someone did a thread on this on another forum I go to, so, yup, I'm a-stealing it. Use your discretion as to how "big" a band should be in order to be worthy of mention in your list-- I've included some slightly less-known punk bands that non-punk people probably haven't heard of, but a lot of punk rock people would've. I haven't included the hundreds of "local" type bands I've seen/gigged with (except a couple who later became semi-famous or arguably historically important).

So anyhow, here's mine, show me yours!

Angel
Fleetwood Mac
Soul Asylum
GooGoo Dolls
Van Halen
Brownsville Station
Iggy Pop
U2

I've seen three bands, but more locals.

BB King
John Mayer
Widespread Panic

Locals:
Aaron Austin
Daniel Bailey
The Sexual Disaster Quartet

And that's all I can think of... :?

I cannot even begin to think about it because if we are talking about unknown, known, local, and national acts and in any size venue its probably well over a thousand, and pushing 2 thousand. Sounds unbelievable? I lived in Nashville for 7 years, saw a show on average at least once a week with at least 2 or more bands I have never seen....3bandsx7yearsx50weeks in a year...Then I moved to Virginia and saw an average of 2 shows a week with at least 1, if not more, bands I have never seen before for about 5 years...This doesn't even count the shows that I saw while I was working as a tech or local crew...
