Cracking Tom Petty programme on last night 4 hour long, missed the start and the end was way passed my bedtime ( coming soon on the iplayer) mucho enjoyable, break ups with record company, bankruptcy, arson, band members coming and going, song writing, The Travelling Wilburys ( story of how they got together), clips of Roy Orbison ( he'll never make that next note, will he? 'coarse he will, voice of an angel) some George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks and loads of others in there too plus smorge...smarg.....smergi.....smorjesb........LOADS of guitar riffage

Rip, it's on the iplayer, I can only agree with you in the strongest possible way: Fantastic programme! I had to take a break after 2 hours, but after a hearty homemade spaghetti carbonara I had replenished my calory supply enough to keep going. It was a highly insightful portrait and full of good music. Cheers again for pointing it out mate! Ta

Yeah when you watch it again look out for petty cash...!
I don't know guys, I just think Petty keeps getting better and better. Their sound has improved too - I'm so happy the eighties are over!

Anyhow. It's a film worth downloading for future reference.

Petty Cash 8) yep I could watch that all over again, and for any would be Muso's on the brink of signing any contract "check the small print", pulling a knife out and cleaning your nails during a meeting with record company lawyers was a nice Clint Eastwood touch though
