Yep, very rough cut. I plan for the whole thing to be around 1:30 when finished. I layered them slightly off on accident :P I'll work on it tomorrow, but I'm really tired. And yes, that's me drumming.

And I think if I had layered them better, and slowed down the drumming a bit, it would be alright. But this was just to create a general sound.

Before I finish it up, the subject of the song is me getting evicted and moving to Mexico.

It's alright to laugh, I'm laughing too 8)

Same here. It's more of a joke song. I wouldn't actually move to Mexico :P

I'm interested to know just how you went about doing this track. Did you do the rhythm track and then play along with it ? What do you mean when you say you layered it slightly off. I thought a rhythm track would help with your timing but .....

Like I said, I'm just interested in the process. Please explain.

...Mark.

I recorded them separately, did the drums after the guitar. I accidentally cut off like 2 or 3 seconds of the drum track when layering it with audacity, so it's really weird sounding. also, the drums are a bit fast.

I'm not trying to insult you, but, could you hear the guitar track when you drummed?

OK, but do the rhythm track first and it'll help your timing. That's what drummers are for.

I'm not allowed to practice with my drummer friend, though we had one recording together about a year ago, and it was great. so i gotta do it myself, and i'm not good at keeping time with myself, as the past has proven. i'll work something out eventually.

and if i can get a hold of the recording, i'll post it. it's lost somewhere in my files.
