i have a sales job in an industry that i have been a part of for over 40 years. during that time, i have driven over a million miles.

recently i changed some of my territory closer to home, reducing my driving. i also have the luxury of doing business with many of my accounts by phone yay!

so what did i do? i sat and figured out that having a part time job too would bring me enough extra cash to support my soon to explode gas-and as we all know, exploding gas is not always a good thing. just ask my wife

anybody else take a second job just for this reason?

Yeah I did once, I worked in a music store while I was stationed at Tyndall AFB in Florida. It started out as hanging out at the store, BSing with the owner, buying a guitar, then helping them out during the Christmas season, and finally, just to buy more gear...it just kind of evolved...once I got to 10 guitars (at the time) that is when Mrs. T2 said, you either got to sell one to buy another or get another job to fund your GAS! So I was good for then...but now she just says, whatever!

Something similar, yes.
My time and money are balanced around my wife and full-time job.
It would be a beautiful thing if I ever had even $1000 for GAS.

Time spent at a second job would be time away from home
("I like to be here when I can")

But occasionally, I do get these one-off independent side-projects that I can work on from home.
When I do, I'll spend most of the bread doing something nice with mrs frain,
like a nice unexpected getaway...
...and the rest gets spent on GAS.

I know what side my bread is buttered on, if you know wudda mean, fellas.

Yes. For me it is called gigging! I've got several regular venues where I play, some monthly, some every other month and a few every three months - they think I'm expensive... but all in all, that's how I generally cover the expense of my regular G.A.S. attacks. And my wife doesn't like ANY kind of GAS attacks! So I usually don't tell her when I am experiencing one.

Usually how you treat gas, if you even want to treat it is to watch what is shoved in your mouth and down your gullet. Second Jobs should have nothing to do with gas, as it is healthy, I think to not have gas. Thank You!

I'm afraid that I may have to sell my truck to buy gas.
