Seen Rush a few times. They put on a great show. Saw them do the first side of 2112 at a show in the mid 70's. That was fantastic.

John Mayer at Red Rocks Theater in Denver Colorado is the best show I have ever experienced. 4th row Center. I dont know if this will ever be topped. I love going to see live shows. Thats where an artist can show thier true colors.

I bet that was something else. They can still put on one hell of a show, all these years later. I'll be seeing them in Dallas and Oklahoma City late April. It's incredible watching Peart, in his mid-50's, going full steam for the good part of a 2 1/2 hour set.

stones, Carnegie hall, NYC, 1964...yeah, I think that was the date..maybe not the best in terms of performance by todays standards, but man, it was the most exciting thing for a 14 year old kid. Got autographs on the program too!

I saw them on their Roll The Bones Tour. Not only did they play great, but they had a great light and Stage show. Huge rabbits sprang up out of huge top hats, then magicaly vanished at the end of the song (I forget which song, one from Presto)Rush is a guaranteed good show.

I know I've already given a few responses to this thread, but I've noticed a few people that haven't been to a live show yet, so I'm going to post a Great concert a day in order to inspire folks to get out and see your favorite music performed Live.

Crosby Stills Nash and Young at the Verizon Aphitheater 2006(Used to be Irvine Meadows)

I saw CSN without Y at the Greek in LA just a few months before, and even though that was a great concert, Neil Young made the whole thing so much...More. It's hard to explain unless you've seen the two Bands Live.

I think any of the times I have seen Bruce, especially in the late eighties, Tunnel of Love Tour. Or perhaps when I got to go back stage in '04 and met and got pictures taken with some of the guys in the E-Street Band. Very fun. After that, probably U2.

Journey in the early 80's was great live. Loverboy opened for them.
Van Halen 1978 was also great.

Evanescence, Last October at the Greek in LA. I really liked The Open Door, so I figured I check them out live. Like Queen or Rush, they are way better live, and they're really good on the record. Also like Queen, Rush, Robert Plant, BB King and CSNY, the audience was All Ages. I thought I was going to be the only Old Guy there.

Amy Lee sounded 10 times better than the record! She controlled the stage and engaged the Audience with the Proffesinal Seasoning of Paul Rodgers or Robert Plant. In fact, by the middle of the concert, when they rolled out her Baldwin Baby Grand (with Blue Lite up Keyboard 8) ) her voice had actually improved. She intoduced a New song, played Lithium, and Missing (I Think), then, when the stage hands came to get her Piano, she waved them off, saying, "No, I'm gonna do another, this is our show." Then she did "Good Enough" to a Standing Ovation.

They even had techincal difficulties, the violins on Lycramosa were missing for a few Bars, but Amy and the Band didn't miss a beat. They let the Audience sing the guy part for "Bring Me To Life" which they did without missing a word. Seriously Proffesional Lady and Band with a big Future.

I know he's not a huge rock star but man I really had a blast at a Kenny Loggins show at Fiddler's Green. The man has one hell of a library of music.

I almost forgot about the Kenny Loggins show I saw a few years back in Clearwater, FL. Thanks for the reminder!!!

His son opened for him, playing solo. And then they opened the curtains and he had a set of living room furniture onstage and the band sat and jammed for the whole concert.

About halfway through the concert he asked the crowd for requests... someone shouted "Play 'Leader of the Band'!" Kenny laughed and said that someday he'd like to go to a Dan Fogelberg concert and shout "Play that Winnie the Pooh song!" I wonder if he ever did... LoL

Another great show was the Allman Bros at Redrocks about 15 years ago. The best jam band ever.

Traffic Reunion 1995 Las Vegas Opening for the Greatful Dead. The Dead were pretty good that night, But Traffic was Fantastic. That was the Day I learned Steve Winwood could play more than a Hamond B3. Their whole show was one big Chinese Fire Drill, they all switched instruments a lot, and played them very well. Steve Winwood even played a Saxaphone Solo on one tune. Traffic opened my Eyes to what Jam could be.

Stevie Ray Vaughn, South Padre Island, 1986. The man was unreal. The crowd was unreal. The tequila was flowing but I was sober and in awe. I saw Van Halen in their prime, but there was no comparison to that beachside free concert by SRV. I was right at the stage after we got up there somehow. Incredible.
