Queen + Paul Rogers at the Hollywood Bowl. Great performance, and just for a touch of Rock and Roll History, Slash came out and performed The Bad Company hit "Can't Get Enough" with band. So there was Brian May and Slash playing the Doubled lead part of a Bad Company song in the venue made famous by Tom & Jerry and Bugs Bunny.

Historical.

Can't pick just one, but I really liked seeing Monster Magnet, Swervedriver and Soundgarden when I was in high school. I really liked seeing Alice In Chains on Lollapalooza back in the day. I really liked seeing Fu Manchu and Valient Thorr about a year ago...

Was that the Lollapalooza with Rage Against The Machine, Fishbone, Alice in Chains, and Primus, around '92?

For me, it was Little Feat (with Lowell George) right after they released "Waiting For Columbus." What a band with George, Payne, Clayton, Barrere, Gradney and the TOP horn section.

The Allman Brothers Band (original) was a close second !
Thanks for bringing back great memories for me. You happened to mention "Little Feat". LG and Duane were Idols for me personally, but the show I saw circa'76 with the "Feat" inspired me as much as any other to want that "Strat" sound. Funkadelic at it's best.

HELLS YEAH! And I just remembered Tool was also on that bill. I also really like Lollapalooza 2 with Lush, Pearl Jam, Jesus & Mary Chain, Soundgarden, Ice Cube, Ministry, and RHCP. That was a very memorable show now that I think about it because Eddie Vedder was late getting to the venue cause he was stuck in traffic, but the rest of Pearl Jam was there, so Matt Cameron and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden came out and there was an impromptu Temple Of The Dog Performance of Hunger Strike to stall for a few minutes, then once they completed the song, and very winded Eddie Vedder, who ran some distance to get to the stage, took the stage and Pearl Jam began their set....

I forgot Tool was there  Just the other day I told a friend of mine "I've never seen Tool. Duh, I remember now. That was a great show, even though I happened to be in Utah when I saw it. The guy from Fishbone came out and did a rhyme with Primus.

I missed Lollapalooza 2. Sounds like a great show.

I thought that at least one or two people might have said Woodstock, Live Aid, Monterrey Pop Festival, Newport Jazz Fest.

i've never been to any concerts that were "amazing"... a few decent ones, but none that have compared to a concert dvd i have of muse playing wembley stadium called "HAARP".... amazing looking concert to have been at, but sadly i don't live in england

I was there!! Me and my buddy cried like teenage girls!!! That just may be the best show I've been to. Amazing!

Other memorable acts include Tool, who have a very compelling visual show and are just soooooo tight live. Caught them twice so far. Will always go and watch 'em when they're in town. They're such givers. :D

Metallica also put on such a great show, but what's great about them is their whole energy and attitude, like at Download '05, when Kirk Hammet looked out at the crowd and said "man, I wish you guys could all see this". You could see he still loves performing.

Sorry, memories carried me away for a minute there. For me, number one was Muse at Wembley.

I'm very jealous of the chaps that got to see Pink Floyd live though. That must have been amazing.

Well I have only been to a select few concerts, not counting small local bands playing in basements and a weird al concert, and so far my favorite has been Haste the Day playing with Scary Kids Scaring kids, Gwen Stacey, and Drop Dead, Gorgeous

I would have to say Pink Floyd in 1990. Saw them in Oslo. They were awesome. Although Billy Squire at the Fox Theater in San Diego in 1981 was pretty smoking. He puts a lot of energy into his shows.

Oh and the Police too! Oh, and Frank Zappa! Oh and Bruce Springsteen, Oh and...

never mind.

Rush in 1981, Reunion Arena, Dallas. Actually, every Rush show I've seen has been amazing. Incubus was really great last year, too.

While John Mayer puts on a hell of a live show, and it helps that I had the opportunity to meet him before the show, I would rate it as the best concert experience but not necessarily my best live show; and while Clapton from the 4th row was an awesome experience, I would still have to go with Radiohead at Bonnaroo 2006 as the best live show I've ever seen. Longest set list they've ever played at 28 songs, 2.5 hours +, in the front of a crowd of 80,000 people.
