Congrats on your latest acquisitions SBLS,it certainly shows that you know good gear when you see it.That Jackson bass must be a killer, especially when teamed up with the Acoustic amp.Acoustic amps are about the cleanest sounding in the business, even at pretty high volumes.I almost bought an Acoustic guitar amp many years ago but I passed on it because it was way too clean and I couldn't get a bit of grunge from it.

an update, the acoustic 200 sounded fantastic, but when I was dialing in my stage volume it started to rattle and hum. Brought it back to GC and traded up to the 600: Image
same great acoustic bass tone but I'll have to wait to put it to the test. You may be thinking "Why would anyone take a chance on an acoustic head when one of every three reviews say not to buy either the 200 or the 600 because of one problem or another. Because of at least trying to find a good one, hoping the unique Acoustic bass tone will be yours, for a while anyway.
I haven't updated the new bass yet, a few more days.

Thanks again Mike.

The Jackson CB XV bass is outstanding. The oil-finished quartersawn maple neck with the compound radius is very fast, almost as thin as the neck on my red P-bass, which is a nice surprise. I'm getting used to playing a 5-string now. A great design by Jackson.
The actual "David Ellefson 4-String Concert Bass - 'Rust in Peace' 20th Anniversary Limited Edition", which costs 10 X what my tribute version does, has some amazing features, kudos to David Ellefson, his artist signature model really is, Megadeth 8)

"Murphy's law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong"".
My beloved new Acoustic B600H sounded better than I ever expected and I was so happy that I returned the B200H after I found that it had the rattle and hum issue.
The 1st sentence of this post say's it all though.
Every time I played through the B600H I delighted in my decision to get it but then when jamming at stage volume the amp did the same things as the B200H, rattle and hum. I just went to GC to exchange it only to find out that those Acoustic bass amps aren't available any longer. The ones that are available are "factory restock" meaning "refurbished".
I was as disappointed as one could be, finding out that beautiful tone is out of reach for me now.
I took a store credit and have to find another bass amp to replace it knowing there probably isn't one with the same tone quality and power at that price point. I realize that it is only a bass amp and not so important but I have some research to do. I'll post a pic of whichever one I replace it with. Hoping that I have some better luck with the new one.

My buddy found the Peavey TNT 1-15 300W Bass combo in conjunction with an 18" cabinet was the best bass amp that he ever had in his 50 years of playing bass-could be worth looking into as Peavey amps won't break the bank either.

Derek, great minds think alike. I tried the "TNT" and it does sound excellent. There is one that I would like to try before making a decision, "Orange Tiny Terror" 500w or 1000w amplifier head. Here's hoping that I choose the right one this time, lol.

The Peavey TNT 115 sounds good and gets loud when I add the 2/15" Peavey cabinet: Image Image
I picked it up today at GC and would like to keep this one. So far so good.
