Thanks SA, and I want criticism, but I don't expect to feel as if someone is making fun of me while or after someone gives me the criticism. That's one of the biggest points I'd love to make. Calling me a big headed loser is extremely big headed of the person in question. Not to mention, it's a lame insult. I try not to be full of myself, and I guess playing the way I want to for the sake of playing isn't the way to do that.

And Floyd, remember, he's 13.

Yeah but even just the instrumentation... If he thinks any of that is "bad", I'd love to see his reaction to some of the stuff I have

You sound like me when I was a kid. I couldn't get lessons....just too expensive. I played what I could and called it my own and was damn proud of what I played. Here's the thing. These days, you don't have to pay for lessons. There are free sites all over the internet that could show you how to play. It's amazing what learning chords, scales, and some basic theory can do to help you make your own sound.....and sound even better. It took me until I was in my 30's to finally do this.....mainly because I couldn't afford it and really after I grew up, I didn't have the time. I'm still in my 30's, although later 30's these days and I'm nowhere close to the guitar player I want to become. After just a few years of truly learning how to play, it just makes me want to get better....for myself.

I'll throw some of my music up for you to critic....and believe me, I know I am nowhere close to good yet. I figure if you're putting yourself out there to be put under a magnifying glass, I should give you the same chance to do it to someone else. I'll put something up in another thread here soon.

I'm not a magnifying glass kinda guy. I listen to bands that are awful by all standards, and like them because I think they sound good. The Germs, for example. Anyways, I'll just say if it's good and what I liked about it.

And I'm not exactly proud of what I do. I do it just to do it basically, I've got no real reason to play other than enjoyment.

No mate, it was in the UK. I don't think they toured downunder.
Here he is though, pictured with our own genius poet, Nick Cave, in the "Birthday Party" era, probably in London.

Those were the days.
