Tomorrow morning I get infusion No.2 and from what the doctors say, there is a possibility that i may notice an improvement especially where I was able to play for almost half an hour after I got my first treatment.Today I got my 50th Ann. Strat and my RotoChoir pedal and played "Dr.Jeckyll-Mr. Hyde" by The Who,from the Magic Bus album and was amazed how much the sound emulated the original, especially when I dialed in the right amount of Leslie "growl" that is on the recording.I only made it through one verse and one chorus before my hands packed it in and that was after 45 minutes of stretching exercises. Well I guess tomorrow I'll find out if the meds take hold and will keep my fingers crossed...if I'm able to....lol.

I can see it comeing already. Your heart and soul are in the right place, now just keep your chin up and let your meds do there thing. You'll be back as good as ever in no time. In the mean time go buy a new guitar to play when the time comes. 8)

Best of luck with the second treatment.

I was wondering how you find the infusions. I do the bi-weekly Humira injection at home but I was kinda scared of the infusions. How long do they take? How much of the meds do they use?

Sorry, I know this is kind of off the guitar topic, I'm just curious.

Thanks for the support guys,it's really appreciated. Hi Bam74 the Infusions take about 3 hours-at least for the first one-and I believe that the others don't take quite as long. What they do is hook up an IV Bag filled with a saline solution I guess and then inject the med into that with a slow drip. The I V solution appears to be about 6 to 8 ounces but I don't know how much of a dosage of the meds they use .The first two or three infusions are about 2 weeks apart and then I believe that it's monthly or bi-monthly after that. I'm pretty phobic about needles but the infusion didn't bother me at all, they sat me in a recliner and I brought a good book to read and had a good chat with the others who were there getting their infusions. With any luck I'll be able to have a few strums tomorrow evenin- I can't wait.

Well folks here's the latest on my Remicade treatment, but first another thankyou to those who have written in since my last post. I was just getting comfortable in the recliner with the IV hooked when my attending nurse took my pulse rate and it was 140-that's almost double the normal rate.He took me out and did another EKG and my heart was playing Inna Gada Da Vida at 78 RPMs,so my IV was removed and they suggested to go to Emerg.-not a chance, anyway I had an appointment to see my family doctor this afternoon. He attributed it to a number of things I had told him, mainly forgetting to take my ticker rate plils this morning, plus I had insomnia last night and a lot of coffee this morning. So now I'm tentatively booked for Tuesday A:M-I'll take my meds and cut back on the coffee that day for sure.

Hi Riley, the hand stretches I do are hard to explain but they are the most common basic stretches that you'd see done at any recreation or training facility.Basically it just bending the hands, wrists, and fingers opposite to the natural bend.
