I just saw these tornadoes on the news. They're one of the weather disasters we don't have to worry about downunder.
I hope you Texans are safe and well.
...Mark.

i've lived here 44 years and never seen anything like that. the storm season is just beginning here and they say it's going to be a bad one.

I talked to my parents and the people renting my house (all just south of Fort Worth) and they said the worst parts were at D/FW Airport, in Arlington and in Cleburne...

My drummer lives near the Medical Center of Arlington, and he said hi neighborhood came through fine, but a few blocks to the east got slammed hard. Our recording setup ("Shotgun Studios") is in his house, so we were fortunate.

A tornado once hit Cleburne and did $1 million worth of improvements! :P

That's what I thought this thread was going to be about at first too!

I'm glad nobody got killed, I hate tornadoes. I much prefer hurricanes. You can see them coming, you get plenty of warning and they generally do a pretty good job of predicting where and how hard they'll be when they hit. 10 minutes to dive into your bathtub not knowing what's going to happen is way worse IMO.

I'm answering this with the assumption that you don't really know, but in a tornado, one of the safest places to be is in a bathroom, in the bathtub, with a mattress or heavy object covering your body...another safe spot is a small closet toward the interior of your home.

If you're just joking and actually know the reason why,
