just post bands you like and maybe a few songs to check out or even a link

The Clarks (songs: cigarette, better off without you) they're a band out of pittsburgh and they make some great songs

Rocco DeLuca and the Burden (songs: Soul, Swing Low, Colorful) Great almost folk band... play some great stuff... the singer plays amazing dobro style slide guitar

Muse: well not too many Americans know them in my experience... most of their stuf is great, but i think a lot more people know about them than the last two

i'll post more and links tomorrow

Great American band. They play many styles - many instruments.

Search on YouTube for them - lots of video available.

Go to http://www.donnafans.com/ to find photos and music downloads. They allow recording at most venues.

They tour mostly in the East and the MidWest.

I'm a member of the Herd.

The Duo-Tones: Surf guitar legends Paul Johnson (Belairs) and Gil Orr (Surfaris) team up for acoustic and updated electric duets of great surf music.
If you ever get a chance to see them live, GO!
Check 'em out on Mr. Moto--

I will add my vote to the Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, and Muse, both are great. Got to see Rocco DeLuca and the Burden a few months ago on the VH1 You got to Know tour along with Mat Kearney who is another good artist, didn't care for the CD to much but it was a enjoyable live show.

I'm going to have to go with ISIS. It took me forever to get into these guys, but after a few runs of their album "Panopticon" I realized what they were really about.

The vocals are really harsh at times, but he almost never sings. It's a very atmospheric band with a lot of texture. Here's a video of their first single from their 2004 release Panopticon.

One of my all-time favorite bands.

P.S. The singer uses a few really awesome 70's Deluxe Teles.

I got 2 for you to hear, these are both kinda rockabilly/country with KILLER
guitarists.

The Lonesome Spurs with Lynda K. Parker on 4-string tenor guitar, kick drum and vocals and Danny B. Harvey, usually on a Telecaster. This guy is on fire.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAFq_fPWnsk

Next up is Junior Brown. He plays what he calls a guit-steel which is a combo Telecaster-Lap steel guitar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPpAbhLKRnU

Both of these guys will make you wanna put your guit in the closet and forget about it. Take a listen.

Uriah Heep. Listen to them and you'll recognize their influence on metal bands many years later.

Maybe Mountain, a Cream clone band. Leslie West was a blast to watch.
