HEy Gorgon, by clicking on the button to turn security on.....you have actually let the malware/virus in......

Get one of the malware tools online......MBAM or the likes and run a scan.

These pop ups that tell you you are unsafe are malware themselves, they don't come from the computer. If you get one of these, just hit the red cross and do a scan your self.........

I hate them all!!!! I had malware got into my yahoo mobile mail account...(I didn't even realise I had one of them, but it is set up as soon as you set up a yahoo/gmail/ymail account) I had to change all my password for e-mail/facebook etc. You can actually check with FB and Yahoo where your accounts have been accessed from. Go into settings and chaeck 'activity' and you will see where your accounts have been accessd....I got Poland, Hungary, SOuth Africa, Mauritiaus........

These assholes were actually bidding on SOny laptops on ebay.....................using my accounts.....

Thanks Pappawookee, i despise these creeps for what they do. The thing is when i got that pop up saying there was a security problem it looked exactly like the McAfee warning that comes up, the logo and everything was on it and i just naively thought it was legit  I clicked on the thing and nothing happened and then i started to get all this crap.

It's hard to believe there are so many people like this out there trying to screw others over all the time :(

This crap where they phone you at home and say you've got viruses on your PC and need to get them fixed is a new scam they're up to. They did it the other week to my aunt, she's 80 and doesn't even have a PC!!!!!

I answered the phone to someone in a far away country wanting to inform my grandfather that his computer was at risk. My grandfather died in 1977. I had a strange instinct that the call was a scam...

Cheers - C

Most of the calls seem to come from someone with a very strong Indian accent. In almost every case of this i've heard the people involved all have that accent. I have never heard of this type of thing being done by someone who talks plain English language and you can understand everything they say.

I recently heard about my niece who received a call like this and she was all worried, just at that time her boyfriend came in the house and took the phone off her and informed the caller this was complete rubbish! he's advanced in IT so knows a lot about it. Anyway my niece took the phone again and the caller racially abused her, calling her all kinds of racially filthy names saying she was a white this and that! it's truly shocking what's going on.

This is a way of living for these creeps. I saw a TV program about it once and the place that was sending out these calls was a dingy hovel of a house and when they phoned people they had tape recorded noise going on in the background to make it sound as if the caller was in an office in order to fool the person taking the call!!

Everyone be on your guard for these criminals

I had my Twitter and Facebook account hacked recently and it is a pain. I changed the passwords and that took care of that! It is embarassing for your friends with weight issues to be getting ads for weight loss products though. Hackers suck! :x

A friend of mine has gotten several emails that look like she has had a large payment drawn out her bank account from Pay Pal...naturally it says to log into her account if there's any problems,it looks official but when compared to a real email from Pay Pal there's differences...no telling how many have fallen for that scam.
