You know my track record on Mayer from prior discussions about this artist. In this thread, I'm pretty much where Ceri is since Mayer's appearance with Eric in Bryant Park NY doing "Crossroads". You can find that on YT. I though he held his own in that department, as well as on a solo concert where Buddy Guy guested. I prefer him more in a blues genre. For the rest, the 'artistic' photo of him noted elsewhere herein seconds the motions I've made in the past. The link between his testicles and his head was self-evident to me beforehand, but never before so well expressed as by the individual himself.

However, Mayer wins in the "good looking girlfriend category," hands down.

With his money, we all could have been dating Jessica Simpson or Jennifer Anniston too !

I don't think it's because of his "silver tongue".

Neither of those two bimbos have one 10th the charisma of Kate Hart.

Mayer's "sleeve" tattoos are pretty cool.

(Always trying to be positive!)

I never really liked him until I was basically forced by the girlfriend at the time to listen to him and she was like "No you will really like this track." She played "Assassin" off the Battle Studies album and I was blown away. Gave it some time and he has really grown on me.

In Bonamassa's world Bonamassa owns everyone... that guy could learn to be a bit more humble before he becomes a joke like Malmsteen.

As for John Mayer I enjoy a lot of his music and playing, probably the only newish thing I've heard on the radio that I can stand listening to.

i have to admit, i missed the bus on Mayer. the guy is a super talent, a great song writer, knows how to play both lead and rhythm and can sing and sing while he plays. i dont like all of his stuff but i definitely "hated" on him for some time and it was my loss. Looking forward to the new album as well, I like the snippets I have heard. It's good to see someone who can write a good song AND play AND put the guitar front and center in an industry that has gone more and more digital and electronic. Here's some of my fav stuff by JM.
