Good afternoon!

The question is simples, my friends!

Who do you look up to? Who is the musician that you admire for his skills and personality?

For me, it is mainly Stevie Ray Vaughan. Listening to him gives me chills down my spine. Something I also admire in him is his humbleness. Everytime he is asked about what he has accomplished, he always answers saying "we", referring to Double Trouble too. This is a true virtue of a leader. He was gone too soon.

Besides SRV, I also look up to B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and John Mayer. All of them for the same reason. Great, great, great guitar players who are really humble. What makes a great man is knowing he still has a lot to learn, that's what my dad taught me and that's why I admire these people.

What about you?

If I only had to pick one, it would be Magic Sam http://youtu.be/7S5DGqCfk8o, but I would also have to add Jimi Hendrix.

We have some of the same idols.
When I first started, I was really into Green Day (Still am.) but as I talked to my father more it developed into more, SRV, Mayer, Jack White, The Edge and all of that.

Over the years I've had many musicians who've inspired me but only 3 have had a profound life-changing effect on me and they are: John Lennon,George Harrison and Jimi Hendrix. These three have not only inspired me musically but have been life role models for me especially the former two.In the past years since my hands have gottten bad Les Paul has been a great inspiration for me because he suffered through pain in his hands but persevered and forged ahead regardless of the pain.I too push myself, sometimes through incredible pain because the guitar is the single most important thing in my life and has been for 45 years and I don't want to loose it because I don't know what I'd do if I ever did.

My Idols are Steve Winwood, B.B. King, SRV, Robert Cray but the ONE who makes me chill is

Eric Clapton.

Still can't have the "woman tone" gonna try with a EQ+ OD+ Delay or Boost

I think I got a good and somewhat close to his woman tone. I use an Epiphone SG and a Roland Cube. In my Cube, I put my bass and mids to the maximum and treble to the middle. Using my simulated Marshall Vintage Amp, I put gain to 2 and a little bit of reverb with a little bit of delay to make the sound deeper. Use both pick-ups and there you have it! I love that sound, you should try it yourself! :)

Two for me

The great Albert Lee, not only a guitar genius but a real nice guy, and the legendary Aussie Tommy Emmanuel who does things with a guitar that defy belief.

Jerry

my art and music is inspired by my feelings towards many things in life, not famous people.

Of course and so is everyone. The way you solo transmits your feelings and emotions, but there's always someone that you admire for being a great guitar player or being a wonderful person.

When I first dreamed of being a musician, I started with drums and was/is still a huge fan of Cream and Ginger Baker. When I switched over to guitar, I became a Clapton fan and still am to this day. In my 54 years, I have bounced around a lot, Page, Eddie, Stevie Ray, but in the end I always come back to Clapton.

Or Jerry Reed.
