right now i might have messed this up, so bear with me if i did  . for some reason my pc doesnt like soundcloud and i cant listen to anything on it, but i think i have uploaded something.

recorded with my old band about 7 years ago now i reckon, only time ive been in a studio. was a friends studio, so we didnt take it too seriously, and as you'll notice from the vocal, the singer was not only feeling rough, but he recorded last at about 11pm (hence an hour before june), after we spent the majority of the day smoking/jamming  he is seriously struggling on the track, especially towards the end.

however, we had a good time, so all was good. both original tracks, we all 'wrote' our own parts. i say wrote, they are just cut down jams, even the solo in 'get along' was made up as it was recorded. i never played it the same twice hahaha. i seem to have lost a track that got corrupted, so hopefully i'll be able to upload that when i get the master cd. the demo track is a bit tedious without words, and i kept missing notes on the solo, but hey ho.

i was using my mexican std strat, fender deluxe 112 plus amp, EH english muff'n valve powered pedal, danelectro trip-l-wah, marshall echohead. i used my '72 custom tele on the demo track.

cheers - let me know if it doesnt work :?

Vocalist has actually got a darn good voice, was it pretty much your band? Sounds very guitar led, like you had some riffs and pretty much based a band around them. I can almost see everyone watching you for the changes :D

"this is a blues riff in B watch for the changes and try to keep up"

Good recording quality. Id rather have the vocals down a bit lower in the mix, more of a rock kinda mix, but it all sound very good.

haha wasnt supposed to sound that guitar led, maybe thats just the recording levels. i was the only guitarist though, so had to make sure it was heard. the songs started with the riff, then everybody else joined in. the singer would be pleased to hear your comments, he hates it and still to this day vows to go back and re-record the vocal.

im surprised the quality has held up, thats the umpteenth time its been moved from cd to pc, to cd, to mp3 player, to pc, converted, converted back etc etc. we did plan to go back, but it never happened. i really hate the 'chorus' bit of the demo track, we couldnt come up with anything else at the time, and it definitely sounds like it :(

also im a big Stone Roses and Reef fan, which might explain how guitar led the band is.

cheers though

Good stuff, Great to hear.

When Reef were good, they were amazing. Though i always thought they had more than their share of album fillers too! I was lucky enough to tour with Jack Bessant and Gary Stringer in their new band `them is me` a few years back, they are both top guys and Jack in paticular is one hell of a great rock bassist. Think they reformed reef pretty soon after from what i heard.

All the best Moochy, enjoyed chatting and checking out your stuff.
