Les Paul had a 5-minute stint on TV decades ago before the late afternoon news in Chicago. He would play an electric guitar and it was the coolest thing on earth.

'Then saw a Ventures album with photos of those Jazzmasters and there was no turning back. ""Gonna play it until the day I die." (B.B. King)

It was a man named Kurt Cobain. Before that, I was a bass player.

It was the Beatles and the rest of the British Invasion bands, and the Monkees (don't laugh, they used a lot of first call session guns). I gave up guitar for awhile because of family and job responsibilites and grad school. It was SRV that inspired me to blow the dust off of my old guitar case sometime back in the '80s. Been playing almost daily ever since.

When I heard the solo for "Seize the Day" by Avenged Sevenfold. Then my dad got me into SRV and I was hooked. I now play blues 24/7. 8)
