The song is Enemy Destruct, by Thee Oh Sees.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVVkdqxg0Fw

I know it's fairly simple, but I simply can't figure it out. Can anyone help me out?

Now, I DO know that it is played using a 12 string, like most of their stuff (I'm not sure what the hell it IS, and if anyone can shed any light on that from live vids that'd be awesome, but the main point is how to play the song  ), so no matter what I won't be able to get it sounding perfect, but that's fine...

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance!

I need some help deciphering lyrics...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guoi0_GrQ-A

First verse:
"I turned around the corner, then I bumped into her.
I was cool and charmin', under pressure.
No time for talkin', (???????????).
She didn't trust my type, but she took my hand."

Few other parts like that.

I'm not sure why I expected him to be in standard tuning. There IS definitely a method to his madness; it's not just randomly out of tune, since ti sounds about the same in every performance.

Not to derail this thread but damn you Buxom! Not only could I not understand the lyric, but now I can't get the song out of my head!

It's a guitar and a baritone, which I believe is tuned down. Double guitar/guitar with no bass isn't really all that rare in the garage scene... There just aren't many bass players around.

I've listened to Deerhoof a few times, but I still haven't sat down and given a full album a listen.

Haha, it's catchy, I like it. I'm probably going to get into singing and practice on a lovely female target... When she gets back from Texas, of course...

Dear god you're a super hero. Thanks a ton man.

I'd be willing to bet he uses the same tuning on his 12 string, which I've still been unable to identify.

Well, since the tuning is no longer an issue and I should be able to figure out the song now...

What's everybody's opinions on that band? Check out some of their other stuff, the guitar work is great.
