What's the best way to clean marker off of a mandolin?

Having been away from the Forum for quite some time this pics my interest.
If not too late I will definitely throw my cap in the ring.

Ironically I was just given an old Kay mandolin which has been sitting in a closet for ages.
Hmmm....That may be another build I'll post
