The Germs, yeah i liked it. In Punk usually there were no solos, or just something really basic, but you know what? i always liked that. Nowadays i like a lot of solos but i still like music like that with all power chords and stuff, it sounds great. I loved Johhny Ramone's style in the Ramones with all the powerchord stuff he used to do.

I love it too. It's so... Barbaric in a sense. But it's so organized at the same time. It even sounds good slowed down.

Buxom, Your timing and intervals are improving keep working on it. Remember what was said about becoming defencive about others comments. Don't worry about jokes, they mean less than nothing. When you get angry you loose. 8)

You know i'd much rather listen to a punk guitarist like Johnny Ramone or Steve Jones of the Pistols or a guy like the late John McGeoch from Magazine, Keith Levine from PIL, Robert Smith from the Cure, i'd much rather listen to them than these GIT graduates with their soulless 3 octave sweep arpeggios and widdle widdle widdle all day long!! I can't stand that type of guitar playing, it's so boring.

The Punk players may not have been technically the best but they had a feel and vibe and edge that blows all this daft Yngwie stuff away.

Years ago i bought the DVD of Malmsteen, Satriani and Vai in Denver, honestly i could not stand to listen to that nowadays, it is beyond bad. It seems to be that style of guitar playing is play as many notes as you can think of as quick as possible. Every song sounds the same, wanking away endlessly.

 Not like them SA? some people didn't like it when they started wearing make up and stuff but their first couple of albums were epic. The first one "Three Imaginary Boys" was haunting and brilliant. The second equally so. After that i kind of lost track of them.

Yes, constructive criticism. Sort of like what SA does, only slightly more negative.

Aight, maybe I'm just old, but to me it's just noisy distortion'ed barre chords and ill timed licks.

And maybe that's your intention, I don't know. Hopefully this isn't the future of rock.

I'm glad I got some honesty :D

Anyways, I haven't been playing very long (about 2 years now) and the first year was mostly experimentation with what I can create. This is what I enjoy. I know my timing is off, but I'm slowly getting better, and slow is usually how I take things. And you should have heard some of my previous "masterpieces" I could never find a balance with the distortion, so it always sounded overwhelmingly trebly. I really appreciate what you said too.

I'd suggest maybe writing some lyrics to stuff then you'd really rock!

I agree wholeheartedly and this is what i mean by putting out a good rocking vibe without needing to be a Berklee or GIT graduate

I also liked the tone, a lot of the early punk players from the UK often used solid state amps and got that nasty crunchy sound, perfect for that type of stuff.

See a lot of players that have been well educated musically like to put down punk players, but i'll tell you they really shouldn't because a lot of times these guys can end up coming up with ideas that the educated players wouldn't think of 8)

Musically there's more than one way to skin a cat and all approaches are welcome.

No problem with the makeup stuff, I just don't like the dude's singing...he has a "crying" quality to his voice that just drives me batty. Change the singing/singer, and I like quite a bit of their music.

In fact, I've been grooving heavily to one of their songs lately--Adele's version of "Lovesong"...

Your best so far. There is the timing thing though. You should be able to download some sort of rhythm track.

Hey, check out Grinderman
Kinda makes your buzzsaw sound like an electric shaver
