Or do what I did and travel a couple of hundred miles to try the guitar you are interested in.
Then travel a couple o hundred miles home waiting to play it.

Don't regret a thing. Gonna blast it in a minute, in fact.

Though I am buying one of these sight unseen. Just because...

Well if it don't play right, I'll make it play right

That was just about 45 years ago David. and I remember exactly where I was when I first heard it....but I digress.

I want to re-emphasize the issue at hand in the light of Jeff's comment. A potential customer is seriously in the market for one of two guitars, and will likely purchase one. He can't find an example of one of the two options to audition because of what appears to be an inventory stock quota being enforced by the company on vendors. It has nothing to do with the quality of Fender guitars priced under $1000. It has to do with the relative availability of the '57AVRI and '57VHR, or any other of their ilk. Production line guitars with an MSRP of $2399 or higher. I should point out that I ordered a VHR in April of 2010 and it took nearly 9 mos for the the factory to build its run for the year and ship. They held the vintage line almost to the end of season.
