It was suggested in another thread that it'd be cool to be ablr to upload custom avatars. There's a good selection of avatars now but it'd be great to see more options. I assume it's been forbidden to ensure nobody uploads anything inappropriate. But the dull, red FMT HSS in my avatar currently really doesn't do justice to my beautiful, cobalt blue FMT HSS.

It's just an avatar.

yeah, but its also a symbol of who you are... i'd be nice to eventually get to upload your own because its nice to go on other forums and see a familiar avatar, then you look forward to the post, but thats just my views

Pfft! And I suppose it's "just a Strat" too? Nonsense!

I would also like to see personal avatars. Fender could at least make more avatars to add to the ones already there, being there's so many variations of different models.

I like my current avatar, I just wish it had a black pickguard.

I like mine, but I'd prefer to show my Vintage '57 Strat'.

The problem is the time involved. Someones got to check each and every avatar submitted to make sure it's family and Fender friendly. If they did it there could be possibly over a thousand to approve in just the first few days. They don't have the manpower yet for that. Remember, this is just a side gig for Brad and he doesn't have interns to do his dirty work.

BUT Brad does have the rest of US!

I'd report an inappropriate avavtar that violated the rules in a heartbeat.

I post on some borads with much larger populations. Yet I've never seen a really bad avatar there.

Yeah, you're right there. I've rarely seen a distasteful avatar out there.

Hello All,

I think it would be neat to be able to post
our own, I suppose it's something we can
look forward to.

Cheers.

I think it would be great if Fender gave us a much larger selection of avatars to choose from if they don't want us to upload our own.

Hello Secretsoundz and All,

I gotta agree with you there.
Looks like we have 105 choices,
for the thousands of members.
I'd like a green strat for mine.

Cheers.

I think I started that thread and was told I was in the wrong forum for that topic. Learning. I would like to use my 07 American Deluxe ash maple neck (cherry burst) Strat leaning against my 07 65- RI Twin Reverb for my avatar. I think that would be tasteful and good pr for Fender
