A couple weeks back, I was cruising one of the out of town Craigs List sites and someone was selling a little recording device for guitar. I made a mental note to look into getting one, but now I cant remember the name or the brand. Even with my great Google detective skills, I am striking out.

The recorder is pretty small, like palm size. It has a 1/4" plug and input jack and it plugs in between your guitar and instrument cable. It apparently just sits there and digitally records whatever comes out of your guitar, and stores about 2 hours worth. As you continue to play, it shoves the older stuff out so you always have the most recent 2 hours of playing. Then, at any time, you can dump all or a part of the recorded material as an mp3. The idea is when you are writing, playing, practicing, noodling, whatever, and you come up with that great idea on the fly, or hit that killer lick or chord progression, its saved.

Anyone heard of such a device? Anyone used one, and if so, was it any good? I think the guy only wanted like $30, so I can't imagine it wold be very expensive new.
