This was my first attempt in building a DIY pedal.

its suppose to sound like an old Marshall Plexi set a max and in the verge of transformer failure.... you often hear this tone with Hendrix's live performances.

Oh yes...it eats up the 9volts in about an hour on a good alkaline battery. I use an external power with this pedal for sure.

Very cool. I built their little 5 watt amp. It sounds great. MODKitsDIY makes some pretty cool stuff. It's all true point to point.

I did you put it in a cabinet? I'm thinking putting it a 1x12 combo cab.

Didn't do it yet. I want to build it into a head eventually. Right now I run it through my Egnater Cabs. I use a Weber Z-Matcher when I run the one 16 ohm cab. The output is 8 ohms. When I use my two cabs it's actually pretty loud. It does sound great though. Feel free to PM me any time.

BG65 that is a nice build and a sweet sounding pedal. Not much of a pedal guy, but I will be keeping this one in mind for my next project this upcoming winter, I really liked the tone!

cool think about this pedal is that you can swap out the tube on the fly to get a different tone and dynamic rsponse. I found that using a NOS RCA 12AU7 instead of a 12AX7 gives the smoothest tone, specially if you crank the pedal to max.

Streuth - that's why I don't do these things. That just looks like spaghetti junction to my eyes...

I think it's great. Lot of good sounds. And the idea of being able to swap out the valve easily is tres cool.

Really nice demo vid, BTW. Way to go, thank you for that.

That's very interesting as well. Certainly above my paygrade, but I happen to know a gentleman who might get good mileage out of that little tip, so thanks for that too.

Cheers - C
