Of course they don't sound anything like him, but they sound like the pickups in his guitar. :P

I would've already stopped by last week if I had known it was there. Oh well, looks like I'll have to wait a couple more months. :)

You know, it looks identical to those Custom Shop tribute ones they made several years ago. They must've done a heck of a good job on those.

As far as the value, I think it'd bring over a million even now. If I had two million, I'd shell out half of that for it if it came up for sale. But hopefully Jimmie Vaughan won't ever sell it. It would just be sad to think of it locked up in some ultra rich private collector's house somewhere.

I had read that the whereabouts of #1 were unknown, evidently not, wonder where it's been all these years?

All of SRV's equipment was stored in a storage locker in Austin, that Jimmie almost lost to a auction due to unpaid fees quite a few years ago. He was so depressed after SRV's death that he simply forgot, plus the lock on the door was busted.

Now all the gear in an vault, and Jimmie is planning to be create a museum to display the gear.

Jimmie donated SRV's "Lenny" Strat to Clapton's 2004 Crossroads auctions.

I was at the first Crossroads in Dallas and saw 'Lenny' on display. No camera's were allowed or I would have taken a picture.

Premier Guitar had a feature on SRV's gear with pictures in at this link http://www.premierguitar.com/Magazine/Issue/2012/Jan/GALLERY_Stevie_Ray_Vaughan_Gear.aspx.
