Fender have announced the latest incarnation of the american standard series. Thoughts? Ramblings? Musings?

I like the idea of them having custom shop pickups, but I'm sceptical about the affect of their handmadedness on their price.

I would like to see some different color choices available personally.There are only a couple colors offered that I personally would go for in the new line up :? They all have been offered in the past with the exception of maybe that jade pearl color,which is funky

Very nice,aged plastic parts,Fat '50s,should be a very good Strat for the person who wants one go to Fender axe.... :D I plyed AS Strats for years,great guitars.
