I've used the "Foe List" in the past, but was sometimes overtaken by curiosity and ended up reading the Foe'd individual's postings, which sometimes "tweaked" me enough that I would end up replying and getting right back into the fray.

I recently put another individual on the Foe List and have had great fun ignoring the posts. I know the person is posting, because the threads he/she/it replies to keep going to the top of the thread list, but I haven't opened or read them, so everything is cool...

It's kinda like watching a bad movie with the sound muted, so you can make up your own dialog.

Anyway, that's my not-so-interesting fact for the day.

Does anyone have a boring anecdote like this?

Not about friend/foe lists, but as far as movies are concerned I have noticed that it can be much more interesting if you miss the first 20 minutes and come into them once the plot has got going. It's sort of fun trying to work out what might have lead up to the bit where you arrived. In fact, very many films benefit from having their front end chopped off.

Try it when you're channel-hopping sometime.

I can see no Forum analogies with this whatsoever... [deadpan face]

Due to recent activities I started using the foe list. I thought that anything a foe would post just wouldn't show up on the forum (whenever I logged in to view), but I was mistaken... anyways....

I've never put anyone on the foe list. I just keep my opinions about some of the less likable individuals that post here to myself. It seems that most of the offending individuals are young, somewhat naive, ignorant, or incapable of good social decorum. I think one of the reasons that this forum has been so successful and polite in the past is the example that so many of the more seasoned posters have set. Not to mention the wealth of information shared with everyone. If those individuals continue to lead by example then this forum will continue to thrive as a place to share and exchange ideas as well as a great place to build friendships.

Besides there isn't a better place to have a conversation with people from all over the world like you guys and girls.

Armadillo you ever bump post up to knock theirs ( Foe Listers ) down the list.

Bumping down I like to think it bugs them ( Foe Listers ) with out getting pulled into their web. Sometimes tho its hard not too because you be bursting to say something and the resistance to do so just
