With the exception of Elvis and the Beatles I saw most of my favorite bands and vocal groups from the 50s, 60s and 70s, a short list now would be:

Little Richard
ZZ Top
Metric
Foo Fighters
Children of Bodom
Kelly Clarkson
Slipknot
Deftones
Bonnie Raitt
Govt Mule
Chickenfoot
Miranda Lambert
Rodrigo y Gabriela
Dwight Yoakam

um, not as short as I thought and there are many more in each of the genre's listed.

Yo Triskele - the Who are still touring, kindof. You could catch them before they disappear into the ewigen Jagdgründe... ;-)

Cheers -

Hmmm I bought his last album (Dirt Farmer I think it's called) and was sure happy to hear him again. But the material was not for me really; I guess that's what they call a "personal" album! :D But his musicianship was top as usual.

Cheers

Nutter

Cheers Snowy, those dates are a bit soon for me, I've got stuff on at present but I'll catch him one day. I hope you manage to get to Edinburgh. 8)

Tedesci Trucks Band
Jeff Beck
Bonnie Raitt
Ted Nugent
U2
Audioslave
Jake Leg Stompers

I'd also like to take a couple weeks to cruise around in the Southern US during the day and just drop in on whatever blues joint is rocking that night.

I'd like to see a performance of Stravinsky's" Rite of Spring" or "Le Poème symphonique pour Cent métronomes". I'm not that bothered by who is playing them though.

I saw the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars in 1965. The Boxtops, John Fred and the Playboy Band, We 5, Sly and the Family Stone. In 1968 I saw The Association at Western Ky U. Who have I missed? George Jones?

Hey Nick: behind the scenes I've been encouraging him to take that trip with you. Apart from anything else I'm itching to see a thread full of photos... :D

Anyhow. So many good suggestions. Derek Trucks is a name that's been mentioned a couple of times. I haven't seen him live yet and I'd absolutely love to! Good call. Bonnie Raitt is another. Excellent, thanks.

Yes indeed: nice thinking. And be sure to get good seats, in the middle, about 10-12 rows back. The last section in particular is like being strapped to the tracks with an express train crashing towards you. If you ever want to see a symphony orchestra with sweat on their brows working their socks off this is the one: total excitement. 8)

Why - why hasn't this one been at the top of my list for years?

Cheers - C
