Gilmour, definitely. Got a chance to see the mighty Jeff Beck about a year back, and apart from tearing up both my eardrums, he showed immense innovation and taste on that Strat.
Andy will remember that gig - if only for that tall deaf bloke with blood spouting form both his ears not reacting to his friendly "hellos".

Burn in hell, Mr Marshall! Why you make amp so loud?!??

OK, I wouldn't normally bother to mention this, but since I can see a giant row about to break out on another thread let's keep this one going for those as don't want a fight...

So, quick story: my wife is in publishing and goes to lots of events in that world. Sometimes I go along as her civilian +1, but mostly I'm happy to duck out. Couple of months ago it was the Costa Book Awards and one of my wife's authors was a winner (which was nice). Those dos are always over-excitable and shrieky and I was fine about giving it a miss.

Till, that is, I drove up to collect my Missus at the end of the night and she mentioned she'd found herself talking for a long time to well-known publisher and author Polly Samson and her husband... Dave Gilmour.

Heilige scheiße! Did I make the wrong call that night! :( :( :(

"Scheiße" wird groß geschrieben! :D

Otherwise... Maaaaaayyyan, you blew that one!

My flat mate saw Mr. Gilmour peddling gently towards the setting sun down in our bit of the world on his bicycle. To be honest that's probably the most "Gilmourish" thing he could have done, isn't it? Ah.

Cheers lads. And Ceri, I feel for you mate. You and I missed him both. Third time lucky? 8)

BTW: I've never seen Paul McCartney live either. People tell me he puts on a good show. Anyone here caught him?

We've seen him twice since 2007 and both times were very cool. His band
is great too!

Now, more about that hottie with DG...

edited to add, she's a lyricist too...and looks quite a bit
like my wife, who isn't.

Que?

Has anyone who said David Gilmour seen the Australian Pink Floyd? They're pretty great.

I'd like to see Joni Mitchell, Bright Eyes, Kings of Leon, Furthur, Foo Fighters, Manic Street Preachers, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Ray Davies, Midlake, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Right Away Great Captain, Radiohead, Pixies, Tommy Reilly, the list is basically endless.

I'd love to see Manchester Orchestra again too.

Foo Fighters/Black Keys tickets come out next wednessday, so I need to find £50 pretty quick.

Yes, I think she wrote most of the words on the last Floyd studio album, if memory serves? And Mike, if you're wife looks like Polly then all I can say is... 8)

Hi Tochai: "Scheiße in capital letters", I believe it means. Unless Google-Translate is misleading me, that is.

And he's right. Apparently you could hear the sound of me kicking myself from several miles away...

Maybe I need to pay more attention in german class.
I did a week long exchange visit to Germany last summer. I learned "Schwanze", "Fich dich" and "Hyaaawwwww", so I'm basically fluent. 8)

I saw Paul McCartney back in 2009. I must admit that I'm not a fan of the Beatles but I am a big fan of George. I would have said that McCartney's solo catalogue as a whole would not have been the best. Well, it was a great show and he was exceptional live. His band were stupendous! :)

Blimey! Blast from the past! Are they still going? I mean that's got to be like 30 years of punk savagery! If they are, Respec! 8)

Good taste andy! I also saw Dweezil last year at the roundhouse in london, was pretty darn amazing. Add to that the fact that soundgarden are one of my all time top bands and i`ll have to give you much respect o hairy one :P

"O Hairy One" Classic!

The Roundhouse is a cool venue and on a Soundgarden related point I saw Chris Cornell there a few years back. He played a load of old SG tunes and I have to say his voice was awesome. Oh yeah, he had David Arnold on keys which was nice!

Respect back at-cha Sir Olly of Clam. May your chops be as epic as my hair!

BTW: Put me down for seeing ZZtop and just about everyone on Scream' A's list. Tis a good list. :D

Cheers!

Andy

Yeah, you blanked me but I totally forgive you.

T'was quite a loud gig but then that's the best way to witness Jeff Beck's awesomeness!

One more thing...If any of you get a chance to see Radiohead Live, DO IT! I've seen them twice and would love see them again. Great Live act IMO.

Yeah they are still going and a most disconcerting band. Mayhem and anarchy from the band members except the guitarist. Who smiles politely whilst creating a god-awful racket.

We drank em under the table in 2005.

I have seen many of my favorites over the years. But I've yet to see the Stones, would love to before Keith's luck runs out :D

And never got to see the Ramones, too late on that front I guess.
