Plus 1, and several others agree with us. It is VERY easy to ignore the threads started by FenderPerson1. I find his threads humorous. But you 3 or 4 treehouse club members who want to control everything take vicious delight in bashing and picking on the 15 year old kid, who clearly has issues. It's horrifying, actually.

Such vicious, hypocritical behavior is common among people who loudly talk about their Christian religion. It's called smugness. Screaming Armadillo, if you can't recognize some of the downright vicious comments that Rebel Soul made to the kid (you have no talent and never will and should spend your time taking out the garbage) as mean and nasty, you have a problem. Look hard within yourself. Pay more careful attention to your pastor's words on Sunday.

Treat others as you would have them treat you. The way many of you adults have viciously treated this kid with problems is nothing more than SHAMEFUL.

^^^ Troll alert. Where do they come from? Honestly this idiot (Rebel Stole) is so blatantly trying to rile up the members and stir the $@!& that it just isn't true. I can understand why people want to leave this forum now that we have buffoons like this who contribute nothing but jump on threads to attack people who have been here for years and contributed.

These trolls come on, contribute nothing but try to stir things up and annoy people just for the sake of it.

Also interesting the comparison between this person and the previous infamous troll mentioned on the other page.

Isn't it odd that Rebel Stole joined the forum yesterday with no introductions what so-ever and he or she seems to know everything going on within the forum prior to joining here? How about an introduction and a little bit of info about yourself.I thought that was pretty much standard courtesy when joining any forum. How about sharing a little info with everbody about yourself?

This is pure arrogance. To treat a mentally handicapped person like somebody who has to be treated differently, is the essence of arrogance. It's totally neglecting his own power and his birthright to be taken seriously.

Taking him seriously and talking to him like to a real person, that's the right way. What you propose is nothing but well hidden degradation which will help neither him, nor anyone else. And maybe you should really stop talking about Nathan in 3rd person language. This is again total arrogance.

My way was to compliment him whenever he did something good (like playing that Hendrix stuff better than ever before) and giving him a "stop" sign whenever he crossed the borders to BS again. And I think this is the right way (of course I do :-) )

Best regards, whoever you are. I suppose you're someone I like very much, but I'm not sure yet.

David (my real name, btw)

Yes, I also gulped when I read that. That's a valid point you make here.

Cheers

It certainly could be a family member of Nathan's or a friend with a better vocabulary.. :P

I still don't see why this has every one so riled up....I think it a mountain out of a molehill.....Its just a kid being stupid....And a extra stupid one at that........

A bit of a reality check needed here i think, don't lose sight of this being a "Public Forum" It's not anyones "ol boys club" . Your always going to get smart asses on a public forum and people who have difficulty and lack of manners in communicating with others, That in a lot of cases will be why they are here.

I think a daily dose of concrete with their cornflakes is in order for a few huh......

Why on earth would anyone who has enjoyed this forum for years give it up for the sake of one smart $@! kid :? :? :? :? :?

I tried to stay out of this....I just cant help myself....

My opinion about the whole issue with the place has been with many of the youngsters that have shown up in the past year. They post too much BS which starts to many arguments about nothing. I am afraid I will be leaving also to little good stuff anymore and to much BS.

Tim, that is not acceptable Bro, do not leave, you are a well respected member on this Forum, and one of the originals. I have been watching and missing the many that have left. Both boys and girls that contributed to the only Forum I've ever wanted to be a member of. Those that are still here, I appreciate very much. Those newer members that are here now, who participate positively are a breath of fresh ideas that any Forum would want. But, it is the older wiser members that bring insight and understanding to those complicated guitar/amp equations that we all must address from time to time as well as just everyday stuff, their knowledge and experience is priceless. A photo of some socks on a ceri-beral flying pig with a big hairy wookie drinking beer whilst burning a guitar and cleverly verbalizing a retro armadi-soul-liera-esque outerspacien twelfth-slinger's (2 of those) houstensonnet or, there's too many to keep that up but all of you know what's trying to be said I hope, Nikki my favorite firewood creator. Claude would you straighten this up for me? I'm not doing a very good job I'm afraid.

I think respect, as our friend above said, is the key here. Unfortunately, respect is something that is disappearing rapidly in society and this is what many of the older people(with a few younger exceptions I have seen on here) find difficult.
I have an 11 year old daughter and I love her dearly and have tried to batter....ahem....teach respect and courtesy to her and her little sister since they were little. UNfortunately, the way kids are nowadays (And by kids I also mean the generation of parents who are under 30 also.....) respect, courtesy, manners et al just do not matter.
It is infuriating for those of us who believe in a certain way of conducting oneself but these guys, generally don't see what they are doing wrong.
I am NOT standing up for these guys and many of you know I got 'stuck in' a few months back in a thread with another 'troll' but they are what they are and no amount of pep talks and friendly nudges will make any difference.
I have been really sad to see some guys leave here due to ignorant people and am delighted Martian is staying and really hope that tbasszone stays too.

I 'float' in and out of this forum. I started back when I found myself caring for my dying mother and, although I am a guitarist and tech, I found the general cameradery on here an amazing tonic for the soul while I was in a dark place. CHewing the fat with guys that have amazing abilities, wonderful ideas and inspirational stories helped me so much and after my Mum died, I was on here constantly for about six months as I considered the 'faceless' characters behind funny avatars to be my friends and it was easier for me at the time to communiacate through this forum than deal with people face to face at the time.
I am not here nearly as often as I would like now but still get a warm welcome when I come back and get angry when I see new people hurting/offending/insulting the people that helped me through the darkest of times.

I suppose what I am saying is that although this is an open forum, there is a 'family' feel to it(for me anyway) and wwhen people 'invade' our sensibilities and rock how we like to work the forum it does get our hackles up and we get defensive. THis, I suppose  , is where new folks can get upset and start comparing this forum to other, less courteous, forums. I know that over the last few days there have been posts that if you had come on here for the first time and straight into certain threads, there will unfortunately be some of the 'old-timers' coming across as rude, impatient and hostile. Most or many of us will know the reasons for the comments posted and understand this but there will also be many who see this as their first experience of the Fender forum. Do you see what I mean?

In the end, yes there are a few twats on here, but I will stand now and beg all the guys not to go because, my experience on here and the respect, care, camaradery and fun I have been shown in times of pain, loss and desperation outweighs any negativity felt towards ill-advised, immature and mis-guided ignorant fools. I will stand at the front of the ass-whoop cue when those I respect as much as I do feel there is no choice but to leave.........rant rave grrrrr mumble spit shout fight kick bite sliver

Let's all try and respect each other.....until respect no longer works and the hairy drummer needs let off his leash.......... 8) :!:
