This is it: the heart of Fender and the four archetypal instruments that have rocked the world for more than half a century - the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass.

New for 2012, American Standard guitars and basses are now upgraded with Fender Custom Shop pickups* and other distinctive new features. Pure and simple, the latest U.S. - built versions of four design classics.
(*All except five-string basses)

In addition to 5-string basses, the American Standard HSS configuration also remains unchanged.

@Brad

Did the HSS will get the same CS treatment? In the case of the Fat 50s a great vintage-sounding bridge humbucker such as the Duncan Pearly Gates Plus should compliment these overwound Strat pickups to perfection.

Yes! You can click the "Specs" tab on each individual instrument to view the pickup configuration.

Broadcaster and Twisted pickups in the AS Tele!

Resistance is futile. :-)

Never heard those pickups before. I'm really looking forward to trying them out.

I love everything except the aged plastic parts!!! For the HSS what aftermarket pickups will fit the three hole pattern?

Howdy!

I've not seen a bad review on the Fat 50's and am very keen to have a go. Tempted to bag an Olly White, Rosewood Strat...

Both the "Specs" & "Artists" taps aren't working for me...(Firefox & Win 7) anyone else?

Cheers!

Andy

Nice one Brad! :D

Yep, that worked a treat, and the Spec's look good as does the page design. Which is a bonus as I'll probably be staring at that page for the next few weeks trying to convince my self to just buy the one...

50-points to you and your crew! 8)

Cheers!

Andy
