Cripes, that was a long time ago, wa-a-a-a-a-a-ay back in Forum history. I'd forgotten about that one. I bet if we looked back people were saying stuff like "this used to be a nice forum but now it's spoiled" that time round too.

You're absolutely right: we weather these hiccups, move on and forget about it. Nuttin' to sweat over.

Still. That time around certainly was rebarbative.

We're multi-lingual. Spoilt, spoiled; learnt, learned; etc.

Oh, and: pickguard, scratchplate. It's all good. :D

BTW: will you be watching out for the owner that "sunshine smile" on the train in future, Doc? After all, a man's allowed to look at least...

Cheers - C

Regulars are often seen on the platforms or in the same car around the same time because the position themselves for stairs on exit. At my railroad station in Deer Park near my home we have what I call The Platform Group...a kind of RR Fender Forum. Been traveling with each other for years. Since my change of schedule, I no longer see those folk daily, but two have become close friends. One retired to FL about 5 years ago, but I see him when I'm there. As far as the young lady is concerned...who knows. That was a late hour for me and might have been for her as well, I'll certainly know her when I see her again. Oh yes...I prefer scratchplate and some of those other multi-lingualism. They possess a kind of linquistic flavor of their own....You, as a 'pain-tah' would understand.

It's the big city equivalent of a convoy of long-bed hay trucks haul'in feed to pasture,
ya'll. [Some guys I know seem to play out evenings so much they get a tad fuzzbrained in the daylight.]

When I read this post, Doc, I was at work and couldn't respond. It made me think that we'd all be better off talking about Rory Gallagher! I was listening to him at the time (some BBC recordings). I remembered that you are also a fan of RG.

Carry on.

Yep...another one of those influences who left his mortal coil way too prematurely. [BTW: Of course you realize that you constitute part of that 'corps/core' I wrote about earlier.]

One of the good threads, this one - but I am really sad about Martian leaving ! Great loss! I want to thank you for being a polite man with a huge knowledge-base , and always willing to share .
Thank You, Sir!
I've been a member of this forum for a couple of years now , but just lately started posting. Earlier I just browsed it occasionally, as I did not have enough time for it all.... But I have learned to love it , and it has worried me to see how much mindless bullshit is served here lately. But I intend to stay , and I am truly sad about the most experienced members like Guitslinger and Martian leaving here. So I understand your decision ,guys - best wishes....
BUt i am also very happy with the spirit of people like the Nutter
Keep up w. the good threads and insight, Nutter !

I have simple question and it is: Why can this dude type bullshit and it shows up, but when I type the word $@! it is censored? I do not as a rule swear online, but I'm curious. Not taking away from the cat that wants to boogie from the forum. To me it sounds like he should stay because it seems alot of people hear dig the cat and his input.

I would suspect that it has something to do with the content of the scatological dictionary the website is programmed to censor. I wouldn't want to $@!& you about that, and that's no bull.

Thanks Doc! Excuse my poor use of English! It is my second language, and I learned it in Greenpoint back in the early 60s. That's no bull either.

Yo!! No issues with your English whatsoever. Just tryin to theorize an explanation for the allowance of two half words like mother-fucker!  Now go pour yourself a double, or light up joint, and figure this one out.
As for Greenpoint...some of the classiest people on the planet come from Greenpoint. 8)
