Today is the first full day of spring and it snowed here,yesterday was enough to skin you too.Make no wonder that my hands are getting so bad this cold damp air wreaks havoc on them so much so that even with gloves on while driving my fingers get numb.Tomorrow the wind chill here will bring the temp down to -20C while in Nova Scotia our nearest neighbour the temps are expected to go up to +20 C.It looks like this year is shaping up to be a rerun of last year where we only got temps over 10C from July 2 - 6,from then the temps were in the single digits the rest of the summer right on up to the end of September.

Guitslinger...yep, here at the Gateway to the West it is sunny and 78, been great for the past couple of weeks. I made a short trip to Florida this past week and it was warmer here than in the Panhandle! Although it was about 75 and sunny there on the gulf coast.

Don't fret, spring should be there soon!!

Hi Guitslinger: yes. Here in England spring suddenly arrived about a month ago. One Monday I went for a very cold (by our standards) walk in the snow; by the Wednesday it was beautifully sunny and warm, and it's been like that ever since. Today we dined out with visiting American friends and we sat outdoors at the restaurant in nice sunshine with the temperature in the high teens centigrade. Good.

Why, even Snowy up in Scotland said on another thread that he'd been drawn to the beach, and that tells us winter is gone for sure! The flowers are all out, the birds are nesting - spring is well and truly here and summer is coming.

Around the pacific north west It's very definitely still Winter! It snowed yesterday, and a little this morning, and the wind blue like crazy, about 60mph. in some places. our temp. is at least 10*F colder than it should be this time of year. I haven't a clue whats going on, but it's a crazy year for sure.

We've been running in the 20c-24c range this week, getting warmer every day supposed to climb to 27c for tomorow.

Bugs are out big time and I'm hearing frogs chirping at night, they going to get a surprise if this warm weather breaks returns to normal ranges for this time of year again.

My daughter who lives in Kitchener text me last night.....'hear it's snowing, I'm having a beer on the patio, 30 degrees C.' I really hate you mainlanders now, I really do.

I am really sick of winter. Spring, yeah right. Methinks it's gonna be another cold summer
