Why don't you give up guitar as a bad job and plug in one of your old broken up televisions and poke around the chassis until you fry that last brain cell that you are holding on to. You can't play guitar and never will be able to to any degree, you would be lucky to progress to the point where you could sit around a campfire sing Kumbaya My Lord-by yourself of course.Like I told you I have taught more people than you have had cooked dinners and you don't possess one single iota of talent or aptitude for the guitar. The sooner you get that into your thick skull the better, now please get lost and take your inane, vaccuous, tiresome, boring, idiotic posts with you.Do I make myself clear? Just about everyone has had it with you,you are an arrogant, obnoxious little troll and you are no longer needed or welcome here.

Have you guys (Rebel Soul, Dany Dook [who never spels anything rite despite his meny yeers on this erth to lern, so whey shud I?), and Screamin Armadillo) seen his videos?  He clearly has a little bit of Downs.  Give the kid a break.  Who is worse, a poor kid with Downs or 50 to 70 year old men who pick on him constantly?

I can't speak for Reb or Danny, but I am much younger than 50, thank you very much.
First of all, if you're so concerned about how Nathan is treated, why are you being hateful to our orthographically challenged friend from the Great Northwest (Danny Duke)?
Secondly, I have worked with kids with Down's off and on since I was in my teens, as well as other developmentally disabled individuals.
(1) He does not have Down's syndrome, not even mildly. He does perhaps have some developmental problems, however...
(2) Even a developmentally disabled person can be (and should be) taught how to properly interact with others. Many of the kids and adults I worked with might have had "unique" or simple ideas or conversations, but they knew not to be dishonest, disrespectful, selfish or rude in their interactions.

Also, you may not have been around for his Five or Six previous incarnations, where he claimed (among other things) to own Buddy Holley's guitar, claimed that he won in a guitar duel "because the other guy was playing a Les Paul" (you've seen him play, he won no duel) and generally acted in a manner unbecoming a Forumite.

He started arguments, he told lies, he was inconsiderate to other people's threads and conversations, and he forgot that this Forum doesn't belong to him exclusively. He has started at least fifteen threads since his return. Three were appropriate and interesting--and he was complimented (I personally complimented his progress as a player, as did several other Forumites; I even encouraged another member to go easy on him until he went "bad" again, if he ever did).  He was also encouraged to keep his presence here within those guidelines.

He refuses to do so, so you see what we have here. That's HIS problem, not ours.

Danny Dook wrote:
...you mean, nasty regulars, who, while you like to talk about your "congregation" and religion, take sadistic pleasure in (1) picking on the kids with problems

Once again, I think you are aiming this at the wrong people. Neither Danny, RebelSoul nor myself have acted in a nasty or unkind manner. When we have finally built up enough frustration, we directly say what part of his behavior is wrong and recommend that he corrects it.

Likewise, while I don't remember Danny nor Reb ever mentioning religion; I have mentioned my membership in a congregation, but once again, I would act towards a rude, inconsiderate and annoying person much the same way:
(1) Politely reach out to the person and gently correct what they are doing wrong,
(2) firmly remind them if/when they stray from the proper path
(3) next, directly and bluntly correct their improper actions/words if there is no correction, and eventually
(4) refuse to associate with the person.

Since all of us have gone through this process multiple times (at least five times, if not more), we might earned the right to lambast this young man.

or (2) flirting with the 15 year olds if they are female. Regarding number 2, you know in your hearts what I'm talking about.  It is cringe inducing to watch some of your interactions with that farmer girl (at least that's her online persona).

I remember no one "Flirting" with Tessa (see, I care enough about the other members to learn their names), with the exception of another teenage who was in the same age group as she...and even then, the flirting was rather mild and innocent (he said she was pretty).

In fact, the only direct interaction any of us have had with her that could be even vaguely misconstrued as "flirting" was the replies to her request as to which picture would be best to give as a gift to her father. We all answered honestly, as to which photo would mean the most to a parent. None of the pictures were inappropriate, nor were any of the replies.

There are several other female members who have never chastised or corrected any interaction between the male members (of any age) and their sisters-in-guitar...and I know there's one (Becks, the TexasGuitarSlinger herself) who would gladly attack anyone who mistreated another member immediately, especially if were related to gender.

No, it won't, not since I quoted you. Your arrogance and ignorance deserve to be preserved.

You're an insult to the autistic people in my family and the ones my mother drives to school each morning. I've known some of these kids and their families for years, by the time they were your age, they were almost ready to have jobs, and most of them do now. What say you in your defense?

I have worked with Autistic kids and you don't display any of the classic symptoms of Autism, this is just another futile attempt of yours to garner some sympathy and try to make people disregard what a nasty piece of work you are.You are just another person that was born with a knack for turning people off you just as some are born with a pleasant likeable nature. We all are getting wise to your BS-and it's about time.

Guys we should try to keep this a little more civil.
Fenderperson1, you appear to have received some negative press. Maybe try to keep it constructive and guitar related.

All you have to do is look at the kids face to see that something is wrong. Something is very, very wrong.

It's a good thing that I dropped by because it now seems that Fender Guy or whatever his nom de jour has enlisted some help from someone who appears to be a family member because it's incredibly coincidental that he joins just as little Lord Fauntleroy kicks over the shite bucket and now he's trying to discredit me by trying to make a liar of me.Let me tell you this Bucko I worked from 1973 to 2006 at the Children's Rehabilitation Center in St.John's NL Canada and was routinely assigned "problem" cases because I possessed an inate ability to get through to them.Anyone of the Forum members from NL or who are Facebook friends can confirm this because dozens of the kids I have helped over the years are on my Facebook friends list. This kid is just another nasty kid, plain and simple he's no more autistic than I am and even if he was he would have to be told what's proper behaviour and what's not socially acceptable, even moreso than "normal" children.I have a first cousin who is Autistic also so I have not only worked wwith Autistic kids I'm related to one so don't go shooting off your mouth making suppositions about people you don't even know. Now as my esteemed forum colleague Retroverbial said go juggle chainsaws and as I might add while tap dancing across a minefield.

guys guys guys,
once again, really?
I get that he's gotten a little annoyin' and stuff, but to bash him so hard as to flat out say he has no talent?!?!
who's to judge talent? not you. I'm sorry, if I'm comin' across as rude, but it's rude pf y'all to bash him so hard!
this is a MUSIC and GUITAR forum. NOT a "let's bash kids tryin' to start out" forum.
If any of y'all would care to see my posts in the two other threads I've adressed this in, please do, one was about negative posts, one about him.
I'm not tryin' to make an excuse for him bein' annoying but, think, he may not have a great background.
Sorry for bein' rude, if I was taken as that, but I'm sick of this. this forum isn't fun anymore.

You're not alone in this, trwells. Whatever it is, positive vibes are better than shouting and fuming about some kid from the other end of the planet.

And another thing: Whatever one thinks "should" be done to provide optimal education in societal existence because of whatever experience one might have: It is not your job to educate this kid, nor is this the right place for it, either. It is not your job. Simple as that.

It's simple: Post on good threads only; ignore posts by whoever annoys you. If one lets some annoying kid get up one's nose it's simply down to oneself.

That's what I think. Now everyone stop posting on these silly threads and get on with what this forum is best known for: Posting entertaining threads with musical background, and engaging in a very special form of international comraderie - with a smile.

There, that's better, isn't it? I'm sure Randel would agree...

Not to be mean, but Ms.Wells is pretty nice, SK. I understand what she's trying to do, but she may not know every detail. Well, Ms.Wells, FP1 was very rude to GS. GS went out on a limb many times to try and give him advice and constructive criticism, something every player does need. FP1 simply threw it in his face and actually asked him for one of his axes if his disability leaves him no longer able to play. The balls on that guy... That's when pretty much everyone, including myself, completely lost it. I consider GS to be a friend, even though he can be stern. I understand what he's trying to do, and appreciate it. He's made me into a better player with his feedback, and he was simply trying to help this... Dare I say it... Person...

He's lookin' for attention!
He obviously doesn't get it at home,
I get that he was rude to GS, but to flat out tell the kid he has no talent is takin' it a bit to far. Who is he to judge talent.? I know that the kid is in the wrong, but y'all don't have do stoop to his level and flat out insult him! be the bigger person and let it go.
The kid doesn't needa ask for help if he doesn't accept it and try harder next time, and he needs to stop bein' rude. but something is OBVIOUSLY wrong! The kid's not right!
