I was gonna make it longer, but I slipped up at the end, and this was the best recording of it I did all day.

I will say that your playing is very good in this. It's just hard to listen because of the lack of bass response.

What do you mean by bass response? The fact that it's a bit on the treble side?

meaning it's ear-shatteringly trebly. no bass at all.

That's what I was going for when I turned the bottom down to 0 (which is actually -15).

Listen, what I've been listening to, since practically the day I was born, has been punk rock. Treble is literally a part of every day life. I enjoy other types of music, but nothing as much as a heavy, fast tempo, or trebly riff. It's what I feel I was meant to play, like BB King was meant to be a blues master, or Elvis the king of rock and roll. (and no, I'm not comparing myself to either of them, just a nice example.)

Just worry about your own music SK and let him enjoy himself.
You've seen how the OP reacts to criticism.

I prefer a richer guitar tone, but as for the song:

I like it...and it's not that much more trebly than Albert Collins or Freddie Stone (from Sly and the Family Stone).

...and if/when you ever perform or record a song with a bassist, it will fill out greatly. There's a million great songs that (if the guitar track were isolated) the guitar by itself would sound thin or harsh, but when mixed and mastered it rides in the track nicely.
