Hey everybody,
I have an 80's boss ds-1 distortion pedal (soooo sweet ). I run it on batteries now because I don't have an adapter for it, but I dont want to change batteries all the time. I know that this pedal requires boss' aca adapter (as far as I could determine, it is only different form the psa in that it outputs at 12v instead of 9v). However, I read something about it being an "unregulated" adapter . I am unsure of the implications of this, so I still haven't tried to hook in a multi-voltage-option adapter I have. I really like this pedal, and don't want to fry it . Does anybody know if it would be safe to use the multi-voltage adapter instead of the boss?

you can go to radio shack and find a universal adapter. dept. stores may have them too.

you can usually find one that comes with different size adapters. just make sure the polarity is correct, and the adapter has enough power for your device

ebay is another good choice
