Superglue can be a guitaristo's best friend, on occasion.

I stabbed myself in the knuckle of my right index finger about 3 weeks ago. It got infected and hasn't healed properly. I now have a bump on top of my knuckle and I can't close that finger all the way. A C chord is painfull. I'm totally pissed at myself for being such a klutz. I had smashed the same finger in a window just a couple of weeks before. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something?

the glue was applied at the hospital. it came in a little vial that the doc snapped, opened, and applied. no more stitches, and my finger was as good as new in about a week.

as far as a tetanus shot, i'm covered till 2020

Buxom, you should have a doctor take a look at it anyway because you may have some tissue or nerve damage and sometimes this type of injury doesn't manifest itself until some time after the initial injury-so get it checked out just to be on the safe side.

I'm a heavy vehicle mechanic so I'm prone to get myself injured on a daily basis if I'm not careful. Just the other day I was trying to cut a bolt head with a chisel and a hammer. I was at a weird angle so my chisel slipped and I ended up stabbing the tip of my left index. Te first thing that went through my mind before I even said ouch was "noooooo that's my fretting hand!" gladly it wasn't too bad it's a bit purple and it hurts to play but it's getting better each day.

Buxom get that checked, like someone said there could be more damage, it seems like tou went pretty deep. Oh and I'd you don have the right tool for the right job, STOP!

But I'd look weak in front of other males. I don't want them stealing potential mates!

Jk, but being a mechanic is rough. I've helped my dad work on many, many cars, and I know how bad it can be, especially on very hot days. Anyways, my grandfather had a car related injury, one that could have been much worse. Basically, he was changing the breaks on his car, and right after he put the tire on, the jack came loose and the wheel landed right on his hand. He walked away with severe bruising and a sprained wrist.

My dad sliced his finger off trying to hitch a trailer, he also slipped with a hatchet and got a 4 inch gash on his shin.

My friend and I got jumped by some kids one night and I got a large cut on my chin. I lost the fight and my wallet, but it was 4 on 2, what can you expect  The scar looks like it's about 1 and a half inches long

I disagree completely.............I have used knives as screwdrivers, hammered in screws, installed satellite dishes with only cable ties, turtlewaxed my Les Paul, balanced chairs on top of chairs and tables to paint the ceiling and the list goes on.....I'm a REAL man and if I don't have the right tools for the job I improvise!!!!!!!! ANd if I get hurt....as long as the appendage is still there and has some function left in it, it'll be fine! So you stabbed yourself with a screwdriver.............like they say in the far North here where I am.......'Man UP'....................

I finished the job, washed it out, spat on it to stop the bleeding, wrapped it up, and went home. It isn't swelled up anymore, so that's good.
