Mark Twain said: "There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist." I feel that comment belongs somewhere on this thread.

...Though, of course, he was wrong. Much sadder is the sight of someone with a dog picking up dog mess in a clear plastic bag.

...Though actually that's not as sad as the sight of someone without a dog picking up dog mess in a clear plastic bag.

Depends on what they're being used for--fretboard material or toothbrush bristles? :P

This is not a political forum and the OP is neither the Amazing Kreskin nor Nostradamus. The $10 per gallon petrol figure seems low. $10 per liter perhaps.

In other news, a man reported a feeling of panic and disgust when he poured his normal bowl of corn flakes for breakfast and instead found extremely dark flakes infested with some sort of dark, squishy pellets.

After setting the bowl outside (to prevent contamination), the man immediately called 911 and reported an alleged "attempt on his life."

Police discovered that the man had accidentally opened the box of raisin bran his wife normally consumed.

The president will still be Obama but in 2016 the Hilliarynator will follow suit in the predictable minority row in politics. This is what we get for having two presidential Republican's that are Mormons! I'm afraid there will also be a draft because of prior commitments with the other countries called letter I and letter A. People will have to take sides: far right independents or far left independents as the news networks squable over air time. Gas prices will be up to $10 a gallon due to the industrialization of India and China and the rest of the world. The end of the world? No. The begininng of the demise of thee United States of America, no. Just one of those freakin' centuries where poo happens.

Two discussions that never end well:

1. Political discussions.
2. "Tone wood" questions.
