Today I got a phonecall from the Nexxus clinic that does the Remicade infusions and they have me booked for next Thursday to get my first infusion. They tell me it usually takes 2 or 3 infusions before people notice a difference but some respond after just one treatment. The doctors tell me that the infusions should clear up my neuro-muscular-skeletal condition that has prevented me from playing. If this heals my hands I still have a long hard road ahead of me as my playing has deteriorated by about 90-95%. I'll basically have to relearn playing and it'll be tough getting my skills up to a point where I'm satisfied with them as I had achieved a pretty decent level of respect from my musical peers, after being on the local music scene for 45 years. I'm my own hardest critic because no matter what others thought of my playing I was always cognitive of the fact that there was always room for improvement, hence never satisfied.Anyway as long as my hands get better I don't care how long it takes to relearn but I can't wait to get out gigging again. I guess any Forum members who have played professionally and semi pro know how the bug gets in your blood. As John Lee Hooker said so well"He's got the Boogie Woogie in him and he's gotta let it out."

That was well said. Hope your're able to recoop and gig. Sometimes we take the simplest things in life for granite, like our hands. Hopefully you'll come back better than ever.

Good news!! If your playing has deteriorated 95% then I'm going to have to play until I'm 120 to be as good as you are now!!! Off to practice again I suppose.... :)

So true. I've always taken this simple local hill for granite:
