Hello folks and new friends.

We finally tied the knot last Sunday on a beautiful Sunday day on Red Top Mountain (outside of Atlanta, Georgia) It was a gorgeous day too. You see, I had a crush on this girl in high school . . . . and 22 years later, she looks me up on Facebook. (3 years ago) When we reconnected, I was not the shy guy from high school anymore. She does support me playing and learning my guitar, however there are times when she has stated I spend a lot of time with it. I am doing my best to equally focus my attention on her and playing. LOL!

Congratulations!

An old man once told me that marriage is like a hot bath. Once you get settled in and spend some time in there, it ain't so hot...

Phyllis Diller said, "Never go to bed angry--stay up and fight!"

...and my personal advice (after almost 19 years of marriage) is this:
Marriage is not a 50/50 partnership. It's a 99/99 relationship...to make a marriage work, you have to be willing to give 99% to what your spouse wants, and your spouse should do likewise. That 1% left over is for the things you just can't budge on.

It works for Lady Armadillo and me...

Congrats, R2A!

My wife and I will be celebrating our 35th anniversary in April.

Hopefully you and your bride will enjoy similar longevity.

R2A, CONGRATS! A great story, connecting after all those years! Only advice I will pass to you, is always remember why you married her, it has worked for me and my Mrs. and we hit 30 years this November.
