No this is not a patriotic topic. I have heard from many people that they wish they could order from Fender, but they don't ship to Canada.

If you live in Canada and would have interest in pruchasing gear from fender.com, please respond. This way if we (Canadians) show enough interest, it might sway Fender into shipping to Canada. We are only a stones throw away

Count me in as one :)

Make it worldwide instead  At least all the random stuff like clothing and such should be available outside the US

But wouldn't Fenders prices get higher if they had to employ people for shipping?

Hello Mshardie,

Possibly it's due to the constantly changing
exchange rate. The US greenback's been
loosing ground and I'm shure Fender's
Board of Directors and bean counters don't
want to come up short. Just my 2 cents.

Cheers.

With this much interest, it is no wonder Fender won't ship to Canada.

I have posted this topic before and was told by Brad that it's something they are working on.
It is silly that they can send me a catalogue with Fender merchandise in it but can't ship actual product to me.

Hehe
Got my strat,, got a hat what more could I want :D :D

The border is becoming hard to ship over, and some of it is to do with odd Canadian regs.
For instance Coleman won't ship a coffeepot carry case to me because the package has no French on it and customs won't let it in. Shipping the actual coffeepot was no problem because it did have a language I can't read on the carton.
Go figure.

Could be Canadian Customs won't let the products cross because of English only packaging.

Good point with everything having to be bilingual. You would think that the Free Trade Agreement would make thing easier.

I really just don't get it. It can't be the exchange rates if everything is sold in US dollars they can't feel a pinch. Visa/MC/PayPal all accommodate exchange in such a way that the buyer pays whatever difference it is. I guess they really just don't give a damned about these sundry sales.

There's no way that Fender doesn't give a damn about the market to the north. Of course they do. It's just not that easy and it's not Fenders fault.

I bought a guitar from a Toronto shop and customs held it up for almost 2 weeks for some reason or other. It's wasn't the U.S. side that was the hold up either. Canadian customs was holding it. Don't blame Fender. Blame the shipping regulations.

Just out of curiosity, could it be easier to to order from Europe or the UK? A lot of Gringos down here would appreciate a little border security, from the south. Fortunately for you, Spanish is not required, yet. Good day there hehe.quote="mshardie"]
