In honor of these high performance Rust Buckets, I have given my old Resonator a makeover.

That is more or less one of the most interesting relic guitars I've ever seen. It looks like it belongs in Vegas, if anywhere.

I'm not much into that kind of thing, but I like the color. I can't tell if it's black or army green. But either way, it looks cool as hell.

That's the sickest display of Ratrod & Relic metal I have ever seen Wow! That is so cool. Do you have any history on the guitar? 8)

G'day Danny, well mate, there's no real history to it.
It's a cheap plywood Reso which I've had for years and learned to play slide on.
The Telecaster pickup has been there for a long time.
It's never spent any time in it's case and has taken a few knocks. One day I changed the strings and the neck came apart in my hands, the fretboard stayed intact. I managed to clamp and glue her all back together and it plays well, at least for my primitive purposes.
So, having reduced the value to zero, I decided to get creative and have some fun with it.
It's basically just a paint job, an illusion. I wasn't trying to do a relic guitar and approached it as an old car body, including the neck.
If you think it looks like it's had a long hard life, then my work is done.

I forgot to show the headstock.

I'd like to give a Telecaster body a similar treatment.
It would be a little more subtle

Thanks again for your interest.
