In Performance at the White House: Red, White and Blues will honor the musical form that sprang from the Mississippi Delta and flourished in the Westside of Chicago with deep roots in Africa and slavery.

Hosted by President and Mrs. Obama the show will explore those roots and pay homage to the great figures of the Blues, featuring B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Mick Jagger and more!

saw it a while ago. some good performances, but too much mick jagger. i love the stones, but "miss you" seemed to go on forever.

but warren haynes, derrick trucks, buddy guy et al, on the same stage- there's some good pickin'

Thanks for posting that one Tony. I spent some time tonight and watched all 6 White House Performances. There is a lot of good music there. Music for posterity is a good thing for sure. Thanks to the library of congress and PBS it'll be there for all time and all eyes to see.
