As I usually do last night I had on the TV while at the computer.A show called Obsessions or something like that came on.I saw somethiing on the show that actually made me sick. There were a husband and wife who collected Cabbage Patch Kids-I guess that's not too bad-I collect guitars, mugs, baseball, caps, diecast car models and a few other things. What made this sick was that they actually spoke to the dolls like they were real humans, they took them shopping with them and involved them in everything they did.One really disturbing part was when they went to a Cabbage Patch Kids accessory store and he was talking to his doll about what particular outfits he like. This guy also built an amusement park for the dolls and gave them hot air balloon rided and train rides etc.All this may seem harmless but I think that an adult like this is deeply disturbed and could probably be set off by something and do God knows what.

Reality TV is full of questionably sick people like this. Try hoarders sometime.

I wouldn't know of a you tube link but I think that the show is simply called My Obsession. I gave up watching Hoarders because I have a very weak stomach and that show can actually be truly nauseating when you see the filth and squalour that some of these people live in.My wife used to call me a hoarder-that is until she saw that show-she hasn't said a word to me about my "hoarding"since. The only "hoarding" I do is keep all my Car and Driver,Road & Track,Motor Trend,Guitar Player,Premier Guitar,Guitar World,National Geographic,International Musician plus others with a lot of them dating back to the early 70s.Then there's my legitimate collections which I don't consider as hoarding anyway.

It is truly freakish and unusual, yes.
Now, if they were obsessing over these dolls to the point that it interfered with a normal healthy human lifestyle (which, who is to qualify what that is?)
then, yeah, they'd be right up there with some truly sick people.

I typically laugh at things like this...maybe I'M the sick-o
